Just checked my perspective, and he's still missing spots and walking guys. Just calling it how it is.

He's a decent starting pitcher but an argument can be made that he's our 6th or 7th best starter this season if you consider Peacock and McHugh having strong seasons again.

He's not the DK of old, and the success of the staff around him is making his weak performances stick out

Lol an emotional girl? Wow. Relax a bit my friend. I never once said he was garbage but you obviously overreacted and interpreted it that way.

He's had several outings where he's gotten knocked around because he's walked hitters and he's left fat pitches over the plate. And he's also had several solid outings where he located and got his vintage ground balls and weak contact. 99% of posters on here would agree. I completely agree that we have an embarrassment of riches on the staff, but he has always talked a big game and this was a contract year for him, so I expected a veteran former Cy Young to have a better year so far.

Is that an accurate and reasonable take or am I being an emotional girl?
