Just checked the Rangers thread and its hilarious to see them calling us out for wanting someone to get brushed back after we've been beaned dozens of times over the last few years by them... and they have literally called for the harm and/or murder of this guy on their thread.

They've injured multiple Astros over the years throwing inside and hitting them. ****'em. Since we've won the WS, they have resigned themselves to the "moral high ground" and are even "saddened many of us are Ags"... it's quite funny actually

I'm not sure how much longer the Astros can carry him on the roster.

in 87 plate appearances; he has 41 K's, just 1 walk, and a GiDP for good measure.

batting .141 and on pace for 300 plate appearances

I think it'd take a lot to get Jake off the 25 man. He is hitting like **** but he provides good defense and good speed as a pinch runner. I still think a 10-day DL and rehab stint may benefit him, though.

Edit: Maybin hit 0.186 for us last year but he was on the playoff roster. He was essentially the Jake replacement and actually came up critical in a few moments. I don't think it's absurd to carry a good defensive guy with some speed and a bit of pop, even if he has a bad bat.

Anyone surprised by how bad the Dodgers are so far? Just swept in a four game series in LA against the Reds, who had a 10-27 record going into the weekend. I know they've had a lot of injuries, but nothing worse than the Astros dealt with last July.

Astros related, well, you all know how.

Their season is the exact reason I'm so very happy we won the WS. I know that sounds obvious, but I remember thinking that if we lost, our window would still be wide open. But they have shown that you can't take that moment for granted.

Also, my wife is Californian raised and a huge Dodgers fan so I am absolutely soaking this up.
