He did ask, and he got the count right. Unfortunately, he blew the second pitch and called it a ball. The fault on that one actually lies with our catcher, who stabs at everything, especially the low strikes. This is what a few of us were talking about a few pages ago. It looks like you're reaching for a pitch out of the zone and gets called a ball when it's not.

Source: former catcher, taught specifically not to stab for this very reason.

Brownie needs to set the scotch down.

He blocked one ball, is stabbing at everything, and has had multiple mounds visits to get right with the pitcher.

Pray Stassi isn't out long. And by long I mean one game.

And he immediately throws it back without pausing for a second to show the ump where he caught it.
