He just went 2-4 with a run and an RBI against an elite left handed pitcher. I'd say he did just fine tonight.

I'm starting to let myself get cautiously optimistic.

Easy to do when you think what could happen if Gallo were to hit closer to .250 and if Odor could get on base more often. I don't think we should be aiming for the World Series right away but if some of the guys can improve over last season then we can disrupt the AL West at the very least.

They say you are never truly as great as you think when you play great... nor nearly as awful as you think when you play poorly.

The roster is the team we'll mostly have, so it is at least worth cheering them on and hoping for some breaks.

I play it up a bit, when I post bi-polar comments. Some times my negative comments are faux... sometimes not.

Any update on Delino? It looked like either the webbing of his hand, or a metacarpal. After 3 straight catches in the OF, he went to bat and with a swing-and-a-miss, had the team look at his left hand.

I guess Carlos Tocci our backup CF. Apparently picked up as a RuleV by ChiSox, from Philly and then traded to Texas. Described as a plus CF with little power. At a minimum, it gives us a player who can play all 3 OF slots... and hopefully be a defensive replacement for one of the corner OFs late in the game.

At 21, hoping he is a gift for Odubel Herrera. A RuleV middle IF Philly got from us in his transition to CF.

Late to the party this year, but back once again. I honestly have no idea what to expect from the Rangers this year, but nonetheless glad to have baseball back.
