I think the whole series should have been put off until later and when the Rangers were 5-6 games back at the end of the season it wouldn't have even needed to be played.

"Hey rangers, our city was hit by one of the worst natural disasters of all time, and our stadium and city are inoperable; is it cool if we just switch home series?"
"We'd rather not put ourselves at a scheduling disadvantage, but here's a million dollars in relief"
Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. Will reciprocate just like y'all did if the shoe is ever on the other foot. Great example!vette said:
Are Astros fans still mad about this? Good grief, let it go.
I know of several people down in Houston right now helping out. If I know of several, that tells me that there are a crap ton of these terrible Dallas people down there helping. The Rangers are also donating millions. Get over yourselves. You're acting like entitled snowflakes.

Still waiting for the math on how the location of 3 professional baseball games to be played in late September helps or hurts a flood victim.

So you honestly believe the Rangers did the right thing? And that the GM was telling the truth when he said the main reason was the inconvenience to the season ticket holders? And you are correct that it will not financially impact the flood victims. I admit it. But sometimes symbolic good will means stuff. All I can say is that if the situation was reversed that the Astros would switch series if the circumstances were the same. Call me old fashioned.DannyDuberstein said:

Still waiting to hear about this PR ****storm. Other than the one Astros fans are trying to conjure up because their whiny President Reid Ryan spouted half of the facts to the media

You are actually correct. I meant to type "I would hope that the Astros would switch...". Freudian slip I guess.AllThings12thMan said:dermdoc said:So you honestly believe the Rangers did the right thing? Your season was spiraling down well before Harvey. The problem is you want to blame everyone but your front office and your mediocre players. Say it with me YOU WERE NEVER THAT GOOD.
And I would be disappointed if the Astros acted that way. obviously, you think differently.DallasAg 94 said:Even one of the Astros announcers said this:dermdoc said:So you honestly believe the Rangers did the right thing?
