I've lost count amidst the posts of "**** dallas", "rangers are trashy as ****", and calls for players to be beaned posts. What class counts were we supposed to be keeping again?
Classy fans call for a Ranger's player, who had nothing to do with management's decision, to wear one first at bat.
All over 3 professional baseball games to be played 4 weeks from now. Some might need to do a little self-reflection, take a deep breath, and hope for some perspective to be inhaled.

For real. The Rangers donate a milly to the cause and Houston fans can't get over the Rangers decision regarding the scheduling of baseball games. And they're the ones saying the Rangers priorities are out of wack.

I feel like the question that should be asked is, "what if there weren't another three game series this year?" What if the games were the last three meetings between the two teams? Would the outcome have been any different? Would Houston have jumped at the chance if they couldn't try to leverage a home series later? Or would the teams have gone to a neutral field? Does anyone in Houston honestly believe there would be any way the games are in Arlington in that case?
The Astros wouldn't have accepted any team's offer to play at their park, but by trying to swap series they at least got to make the Rangers look like the bad guys instead.

I think this discussion needs to die. Both sides of this issue have valid points and concerns. Personally, I don't think it was fair to villainize the Rangers as was done but what's done is done. Time to move on.

Agree. As has been mentioned baseball has dealt with this type of issue before and in very similar ways to the three options that were on the table.
Ryan was the one that didn't get what he wanted so he went to the media and threw a tantrum.

I'm sure both teams share some blame in this situation. I'm typically not a huge fan of people asking for help trying to dictate the type of help.

Not exactly a false statement. Just not provided all the facts and putting the Rangers organization in a bad light. In response to this, lots of irrational Astros AND Rangers fans lost their ***** It wasn't until a little later the the Rangers organization provided a response with more details in an attempt to clear the air
He definitely did not give the full story. A shiit move by Reid Ryan in my opinion.
