This guy gets it. Rangers should totally go out and buy the one piece they need that can turn their season around.
Is 18 back with 63 left manageable?AllThings12thMan said:Ag_07 said:
At this rate the Rangers will finish 162 games behind the Astros
The Rangers were like seven games back of Houston with 30 to play and caught them. I'd say two games back with 160 to go is manageable.
Altuve is now batting .365 and you're only on pace to win like 77. I would say my over under was fair.Lucky #007 said:And Altuve and Bregman are on pace to be battling to stay above the Mendoza line.aggie1906 said:
Arlington is on pace to win 46. No one thinks you're that bad so I'm setting the over under at 70.5 wins. Over/Under?
Daddy leads 7-3 so you only need to finish 7-2 and you'll be right. Good Luck.AllThings12thMan said:aggie1906 said:Just put a number out there I can bump or back down to DaddyAllThings12thMan said:aggie1906 said:
AllThings12thMan, any predictions how you expect the Rangers vs Daddy yearly match up to go?
Well, last year at this time I thought to myself, "surely we won't dominate Houston like that again this year". Then last year happened.
I try to be a pretty realistic fan. I truly don't think we'll win at such a high percentage this year. Let's say 10-9 Rangers.
Since 5/12 Arlington is 31-31 which is an improvement from 17-20... I guess.AccidentProne said:

Daddy took the lead day one and probably won't relinquish it. That's gotta be a sad feeling.

From ESPN this morning. Daniels literally cannot make up his mind.aggie1906 said:
Bless their hearts. They still don't know if they're buyers or sellers.
Quote:
Sources told ESPN that Rangers general manager Jon Daniels began calling potential suitors Monday and telling them the team is open to trading Darvish for the "right deal." If no team offers a return package to the Rangers' liking, Daniels has informed clubs that Texas will hold on to Darvish and continue to make a push in the American League wild-card race.

Dervish really driving down that asking price today with a 10 ER, 3.2 IP performances put that ERA over 4 for the year.... We'll give you Sipp and a package of Gatorade so he can be a live body in our bullpen.

except he was saying that of course wins are important, but a pitcher's win/loss record is meaningless as there are many variables for a pitcher to be on record one way or another but okayTrillOBrien said:except that the sole purpose of the game is to win and not lose but okayAg2012 said:Pitcher W/L is absolutely meaningless.TrillOBrien said:

He may be from Arlington, but he is right on this one. Pitcher W/L has a relatively weak correlation with pitching performance due to so many other factors (run support, timing, unearned runs, etc.). It is pretty meaningless when evaluating a pitcher this day and age.TrillOBrien said:except that the sole purpose of the game is to win and not lose but okayAg2012 said:Pitcher W/L is absolutely meaningless.TrillOBrien said:
