But I've heard they're only one piece away. I'd hate for them to get that one piece and then be set.

Granted they still need to "learn to win" but that one piece could push them into contention.

I highly doubt we're going to be big buyers or sellers at the deadline. I could see a multi team deal shipping Lucroy somewhere for a bullpen arm, or maybe a Darvish rental if the offer is too much to turn down. We're not (and never were) going to trade off every big piece on the MLB roster or sell the farm.

Getting worked up over some generic quotes from a GM with the deadline approaching is pointless. It's all posturing and trying to draw other GMs to the bargaining table.

There's only 11-13 lock sellers which would leave 17-19 buyers. Though, how many overlap both categories? The Rangers are probably one of those teams.

So how's 4th place in the AL West treating ya?
