1906 moron, yes, the Rangers will be in the playoffs.
F"N Book it.
Blew a 9-1 lead against Cleveland. Please elaborate the playoffs? Your team is as good as it's gonna get for the year.

It's so beautiful. Could Jon Daniels be my hero and be a BUYER at the deadline again?! I thought it was only a dream a few weeks ago.
Oh sorry guys. I just had to go look. 0 for 3 with 3 Ks. Sorry fellas. Not sure if there's anything that will bring them in here now.irish pete ag06 said:
Did Carlos Gomez at least get a hit or something? You guys can come pound your chests about that at least right?

But Gallo hit another bomb and he walked. He's making huge strides

They do have the 4th highest run differential (likely third after tonight) in the AL. According to Astros fans in 2016, that makes them a playoff team.

I'm pretty sure one of those is bad and one is good.
We will welcome you with open arms. Sure you didn't live through the 51 one season, but it's okay.AccidentProne said:

When the money comes calling, I don't think he is staying either way... But I have already heard Rangers fans penciling in Darvish AND Otani...Ag_07 said:
BTW...I think y'all should be worried that Darvish doesn't want to pitch in front of that atrocity of a BP. Or at least wants to see how it improves before signing a contract there.

I know the Rangers fans are stat challenged and don't really understand a stat more complicated than wins and losses but here's one for them to think about.
Strikeouts. Rangers hitters make a lot and their pitchers don't. They have 685 Ks as hitters and their pitchers have generated 532. They are -153 in the K-Stat. The Astros have 526 Ks as hitters and the pitchers have generated 778. They are +252.
I'm pretty sure one of those is bad and one is good.
Sounds like you're admitting the 'stros are your daddy. Took you long enough.gigem1223 said:mathguy86 said:

Do you really think it's clever to spout off random stats that Houston is superior to than Texas? It's doesn't take a damn genius to know Houston is going to be a better at almost every stat out there. It shows in the W/L column, the only stat that matters.

Pretty sure not a single Rangers fan has disputed that the Astros are better than the Rangers so far this season. They're by far the best team in the league at this point. A lot can happen between now and October though, but congrats on the almost halfway through the season championship.
