It seems to me this has 100% to do with insecure Ranger fans trying to win some superiority on a message board while you're team sits out of playoff contention.
If the roles were reversed I would be scared ****less of my teams future. As an Astro fan, I have seen what the duct tape stay afloat rebuild looks like. It doesn't work. Arlington is in for a long hiatus from the postseason if they keep overpaying for **** talent and selling the farm to try and stay not bad. Honestly, I've only ever seen it brought up on Texags. Of course texags is also the only place where people try to claim that the Rangers vs Astros is some kind of big rivalry.

Wow Dallas abc local news just exemplified the rangers fans on this thread on a telecast. Said the biggest feat the astros have had against the rangers is Marwin Gonzalez breaking up Yu's perfect game in the 9th. Also talked about how jealous Houston is of all things Dallas and talked about the oilers and cowboys. I've never seen anything like that on a news telecast.

The only thing that this proves is how dumb sports bars usually are. Every city that I travel to have sports bars where most people aren't there to watch the game and the employees are all clueless.
I was at a "sports bar" in Chicago last year and they didn't even have the Cubs game on. I asked for it to be turned on and they couldn't find the channel. Some places just throw tvs on the wall and try to call themselves a sports bar.
