I don't mind turf in domes and northern locations that can't grow grass. Beyond that, turf shouldn't be used in my opinion. Don't like it in football either. I didn't even think it was conceivable someone would use turf on the mound. How the hell do you dig a hole on a turf mound? That has to irritate pitchers.

HATE turf fields. Baseball was meant to be played outside and on grass. I can come to terms with the Rangers building a retractable roof park since Texas summers are so damn awful and I can understand northern teams using turf cause they can't keep grass alive, but there's no reason for the horns or cougar high to play on fake grass. I've heard turf justified on the grounds of reducing injuries but I don't think there's any actual proof of that.

I meant turf anywhere on the field. Those two spots being turf should be outlawed post haste regardless of your geographic location or stadium situation.
