For me, it's this: With the Aggie football, though I want them to win and I bleed maroon, I know they will always disappoint me. There were flashes with JFF that they would stop disappointing, but ultimately, that didn't change. So, I just expect them to lose, and I'm happy when they win. It's not that I accept mediocrity, but how long has A&M pushed for a national championship, making the moves to make it happen? It feels like they're never going to put it together, IMO. Maybe it's BAS.

With the Astros, I saw what they were doing, and I expected them to win. If they would have lost in the WS, I still would have been satisfied, considering how far they've come. I could see the whole organization was building something.

I don't get that feeling with Aggie Football. I just don't.

It's like Ags can't get out of the way and stop meddling to let coaches do their jobs. It happened with RC at the end, Fran (what an awful hire), Sherm (who provided great building blocks for Sumlin) and Sumlin. Someone is always speaking out against the coach -- and a lot of time that person has pull. So, with the infighting it keeps the Ags in a constant state of limbo.

Again -- don't care. Astros are World Series Champions.

Got in the car just in time to listen to the bottom of the 10th of Game 5 on the way to the in-laws.

And yes I was pumping my fist and beating my steering wheel as I listened to Ford's call of the walkoff.
