I need some help Houston peeps. Me and a buddy are gonna come to the parade with our 2 year old daughters (either that or we are no gos)

Does anyone have any tips/tricks on where the hell to park and how to approach this in general?

I will regret it if I don't go, but I'm starting to feel like I'll regret going too...

You sound like me. Debating if I want to pull my kids from school and ditch work. I have two really little ones that could make the parade hell if they aren't in the right mood.

Maybe park in the med center and take the light rail? Milam (part of the parade route) is about 2-3 blocks from Main (rail line).

Probably getting the hat the team got on the field last night as well. I haven't had an Astros cap since high school because our family ranch made some caps and that is all I've worn since.

I'm so emotionally and physically drained from the WS. Hard to explain but I'm just so tired from the late games, the stress, the excitement, and then being up celebrating last night.

It's so different than just sitting back watching the games in October without a dog in the fight.

Last post of the year on this thread fellas, but what a year. As many of you have this is a day I've waited for for a long time. I remember my first Astros baseball card was an '86 Donruss of Bob Knepper. I grew up wanting to be Billy Doran or Glen Davis then Biggio and Bagwell. I saw Ryan and Scott pitch in the dome when I was only 5 or 6. I still remember the Chronicle tombstone story from 2005 and th subsequent amazing second half of baseball. I sort of fell off of watching when I decided to play Army for 8 years and had to endure whatever local teams were playing or whatever AFN showed when I was in iraq and Afghanistan. But man when I got out at the end of 2014 and moved back to Houston I fell in love with Astros baseball all over again. Taking my kids to their first game was amazing. I love this team and am already counting down until spring training and opening day. Everyone have a great rest of the year and great start to 2018.
