I question whether some people played competitive baseball that post on this board. I am not suggesting that you don't know baseball, I wonder if some of you actually understand it at all. Some of the things that have been posted are about as far away from understanding what you are watching.

Because despite his faults he knows this team can figure it out in a hurry. And we don't know what the attitude is like. Maybe someone is taking charge and he feels good about it. But mostly, it shows he thinks we can win this game. I'd rather that than mailing it in.

I think what disappoints me the most is this is the exact scenario that everyone has said Beltran would keep us from falling into. We all knew he was past his Prime and felt that putting up with his poor batting average was a fair trade-off for his calming influence and yet we've been worse than I could have ever possibly imagined these last few games
