My thought is that McCann is more hard-headed and would have gone to the mound to tell Harris he's an idiot.

Oh, definitely agree with that. You just can't throw Judge a fastball in that spot. Not unless you have JV's fastball and placement - which Harris does not have...

Harris & Maybin deserve a good kick in the ass for last time. I am not one to ***** about Hinch, but I would have yanked Morton sooner. They weren't crushing it off of him, but he wasn't getting outs either.

I can understand the gamble on Lance. I absolutely think this is a gamble move.

He absolutely has ACE stuff - it's just where is he mentally. We'all know which lance we are getting today the first time a blooper falls.

Also not too worried about the offense. We have smoked the ball for some really hard outs.

Glad it's a day game - hopefully the day game gets George going since he crushes the hall in day games. I think he'll set the tone today.

Yeah, the Maybin thing I didn't understand last night. I felt like Martin was a more dependable option out there than a new young guy.

I guess it was done for offensive purposes and Maybin did hit better than McCann but I don't think we'll see that lineup again.

We are due for a good smash fest with the bats. It happens today. Don't worry fellas.

I'm hoping Lance can get rolling today. Would be nice to see some 0s.

To make last night's loss even worse I'm pretty sure I broke my phone. I slammed it down on the couch in frustration. The couch is soft so I figured that was harmless. Oh no of course not, the remote control was there and I perfectly nailed it. The screen didn't break but it won't come on. Taking it to the phone hospital today. Luckily I still have my work phone. Next time I should slam that one.

Bad juju all over the place yesterday. I blame all the casual world series talk. Guilty as charged.

yep...lets go back to the lineup of games 1 and 2...put Reddick back in there

Maybin as a pinch runner if needed late in games

Beltran/Gattis can be DH

Reddick was in there last night.

New day, new game. Score is back to 0-0.

We let them have their seeing-eye singles, Texas league bloopers, and wall scraping HRs in their little league park yesterday. Morton was throwing some nasty stuff, but they were just hitting him in the absolute perfect places. It happens. Meanwhile we hit about 5 balls to the track and a few more line drives straight at 'em. As others have said, we're due for a break-out offensive game, and I'm encouraged by what we did yesterday with the bats, even if the hits didn't fall in.

They can't continue to be that lucky and we continue to be that unlucky. We mash in day games, so here's to getting back on track and putting several crooked number innings up.

Some of you guys make A-Rod seem ubiased with how orange tinted your glasses are.

I'm not saying I don't have a strong belief in our guys. But the Yankees are a very good team, playing at home. I'd still say the edge goes to them in this game.

I feel your pain. Test was ridiculously stupid hard last night, took way more brain power than I was expecting. After I finally finished, I walked straight out of the classroom to turn the game on my laptop and watch Judge hit his pwussy HR. Then proceeded to lose in Fantasy because a kicker put up 21 points last night... Tuesday has to be better right?

We took 3 of 4 there during the season. 5 of 7 overall. You shake off the loss, move forward.

Frazier's home run is only a home run at Yankee. That was likely the most fluky 3 runs scored in this entire playoffs.

Springer and Marwin concern me...they haven't squared up a ball all series hardly and are violently swinging and trying to kill every pitch.

Reddick has hit a few hard balls but also been relatively quiet. We need some production from those guys ASAP

Also... Remember this. All we need is 1 damn win in New York.

THEN

The Yankees have to come back to Houston and win 2 in a row over DK and JV.

IF the Yankees do that, they absolutely deserve the World Series.

EVEN IF, the Yankees win today. That means this turns into a best 2 out of 3 in which we have DK and JV going in 2 of those.

There is absolutely no reason to panic. Enjoy this man. This is a hell of a lot better than reading about the MLB Draft.

Anyone know what our BABIP is for the ALCS? I feel like we're getting a fair amount of hard contact, but it just seems to be at people. A lot of loud outs if you will.

Win or lose that's what we will see. Both would be on normal rest.

The pondering on how this rotation will set up is interesting. It's quite fun to bounce around all the ideas without being the ones who make the decision.

Think about this....If we win today and can pitch LMJ today without using Peacock (maybe a combo of LMJ, Musgrove, back end guys) do you let Peacock take Game 5 and push Dallas and Verlander to 6 and 7?

Pythag and baseruns both had the Yankees with a higher projected win total than the Astros. One could argue that the Yankees were just a very unlucky team during the regular season. They also beat the Indians and could very easily be up on us right now. They're a good team. I do think our team is better, though, and I think we'll ultimately win the series.

I'm also not concerned about our offense. We're putting the ball in play and making a lot of hard contact. We hit several balls last night that traveled further than both Yankee HRs. We also aren't getting any cheap hits like the Yankees got. Based on contact alone, there wasn't much difference in the two teams' performances. There's a lot of talk in the media about our offensive struggles, but the biggest difference between the teams last night was placement, and that's pretty much a luck factor.

Exactly. While it was fun talking about sweeping the Yankees, I think anyone that has watched baseball for more than two weeks should have known that was highly unlikely to happen. We won the two games we needed to at home and are now going into the second of our two questionable games where it's anyone's guess what kind of pitching we get. Even if we drop today, we start back tomorrow with our horses ready to take the mound.

NO

Why would you want to mess with Keuchel and Verlander?

I love some wild speculation of what we might be thinking today (or would have done yesterday) or what we might do in game 7...

But, again, you don't change anything with regards to Keuchel and Verlander.

Agreed. And I am confident we can get it done. The same thing happened in Fenway this post season, and this team had to grind it out till the last out to win game 4. It's doable, but not an easy task as some are projecting.

I'm just here to manage expectations.

regular season stats mean nothing in the postseason .... just ask the Indians

While we would all obviously love a win today, I hope y'all remember that the sky won't fall if we lose. Lose today and then you toss out Keuchel the Yankee killer to steal their last home game, then you come home and pitch Verlander with a chance to close the series out. I know we got blasted last night but we still have a pretty nice advantage in the series, don't forget it.
