How bad is the 2nd WC team? The Twins had a 1.5 game lead a week ago. It's now 5.5. They are 5-5 in their last 10 while everyone behind them went 3-7, 4-6, 4-6, 4-6 and 2-8. And they all lost like 5-6 straight at one point.

In fairness to the Angels, 9 of their last 12 games have been against the Astros and the Indians.

Boston closes with 7 at home...we close with 7 on the road
we need a sweep of the rangers in the worst way...so we only have to take one from Boston to lock into the 2 seed
For the same reason we said "Why are we assuming the Indians win out?". They didn't, but they've still gone 29-2 since August 24th to take a 2.5 game lead for best record in the league. The Astros went 18-11 which is still great with a .621 winning percentage.astros4545 said:gambochaman said:

Why are you assuming Red Sox win out, this is still baseball
Because they're playing a turrble toronto team at home and my assumption of winning out is them winning just 3 gamesastros4545 said:gambochaman said:

Glad to see that the rangers didn't inconvenience their fans by swapping series. Packed house tonight
Don't forget their run at the playoffs. A long road trip would've been too hard on them and greatly impacted their torrid run to end the season.gougler08 said:NotGibbs said:
