Looks like my question was answered in the Chronicle today. Neither Verlander or Keuchel will be starting any of those four games in Boston if the current rotation plays out.

Boston has faced Verlander twice this year, but they have not faced Keuchel.

I put an insurance policy down a couple weeks ago in Vegas - $100 to win $500 if they win the WS. Kinda glad I did now. I'll be extremely happy to lose that bet if we beat them in the ALCS, but at least it would ease the blow a little if we didn't and they went on to win it all.

If they finish the season on some crazy tear, odds are it won't carry over all the way to the World Series.

Say they win out to win 37 of 38.... that's a historically great run of baseball and if they win 11 more of 19 (if every series goes to max), that'll be considered possibly the best stretch of baseball ever played. I don't think that's who this Indians team is.

Indians are at another level right now.

Sure, it's extremely unlikely that they can finish at this pace. But it's not like they're an average ball club way over preforming. Even if they do "come back to earth" and play like they were before the streak, they still have a damn good shot at winning the whole thing

Regarding the Boston series, if Sale is slated to pitch one of the final two games of the season and they're tied with the Yankees for the division, do they pitch him? It would seem that answer is yes.

Assuming the Indians wrap up the top seed, we need to wrap up the 2-seed before the Boston series so that we don't have anything riding on it. Then the pitchers that do pitch and the hitters can treat it like a playoff series. While it would suck to turn around and play them again, it is good preparation for the playoffs.

That's what I was wondering. I'm flying back to Houston and have Wi-Fi and am following the game on mlb app, they showed those last 2 strikes as waaaaaay inside

Here's a question...So as far as I'm concerned Peacock pretty much locked up #3. Sorry Lance but you've only pitched once since the end of July.

But do you trust him out of the pen? Because I don't.

I don't think he's ready to come out of the pen much less if it's a close game. I just don't see his mental makeup working for a BP role. He's got the stuff but it worries me throwing him into the fire in the playoffs when he's never been a BP arm, he hasn't been healthy, he hasn't even thrown in a game in two plus months, and he also has questions about his mental game.

Maybe I'm over reacting but it makes me nervous thinking about him out of the pen.

Where are you seeing this? The only thing I've seen is an article saying they won't start him against the Red Sox (both to give him some rest and keep the Red Sox from getting a look at him right before the playoffs), but he'll still start tomorrow and next week against the Rangers.

He's not goong to work at all anymore tonight. Bullpen!
