Angels providing no help. Seattle looks like they're done, too, after losing five in a row, so I don't expect any help from them, either. Quite the battle of attrition we have going for this last WC spot. It's a shame that whoever gets it will have a one-game shot at getting into the playoffs.

Minnesota is a WC team because the rest of the AL is dog ***** The Rangers are only 2.5 back (2 back in the loss column) and they have consistently been 1 or 2 games under .500 most of the last half of the season. Hell, they think they still have a shot. And you know what? They do. Go look at their schedule here at the end.

Rangers have 7 against the A's and 3 with us. They are 2.5 back

Minn has 6 of 9 against Detroit to even it out. But they get Cleveland for 3 too.

LAA gets us for 3 and then finish with CWS and Seattle. They are 1.5 back

There is a real chance of a tie here. All it will take is one of LAA or the Rangers going 7-3 at the end.

That doesn't seem likely at all, but even if they do, they still need Minny to go 4-5, which isn't all that crazy.

I think the more interesting race is between us, LAD, & CLE. We're 2.5 back and 1.5 back. I still think Cleveland is due to come back to earth. It is more of a matter of what we do. I highly doubt we catch LAD. 2.5 games in ~10 games is tough without playing them head to head.

Need to go 7-4 for 100 wins
