If you don't see Sale in game 1, you won't also see him in game 5.
Good point. Didn't think of it like that.

If you're the Red Sox, would you rather have Sale pitch 2 of the 5 games, or have home field for 3 games? Assuming they are mutually exclusive.

I think we can all agree that the Astros would be better off if Chris Sale sustained an injury that kept him out of baseball for 4-6 weeks.
I would settle for getting cheated out of a great matchup for a much better shot at winning. Kluber would be waiting in the next round and if we made the WS then you know we'd face someone like Kershaw, Strasburg, etc.Ag_07 said:Mr.Ackar07 said:

Yes and no
Yeah it'd be easier for us, but man a Verlander or Keuchel v Sale matchup at MMP is a thing of beauty.
We'd all be getting short changed if we didn't get to see that. Talk about intense. I can't wait just thinking about that.

Yeah, the '98 Astros team that won 102 games and whiffed against the Padres in the first round? I have such special memories of those classic pitcher's duels between Randy Johnson and Kevin Brown.Quote:

Headed back to the juice box for my last regular season game for the year, looking to push my record to 6-3. Hopefully Peacock's normal run support shows up and we go Crush City on those *****es.

Off topic: but for those of you who are still against nets being extended in baseball, a toddler got hit by a foul ball at a Yankees game yesterday and was rushed to the hospital. Not worth a "marginally" better view.

Does anyone really think that way?
