Christ how many times are we going to run into outs trying to turn singles into doubles?

Is this players or 1st base coach making that decision? Seems to happen once a game

And instead of having base runners against a guy with a high era, we giving up free outs

I could be wrong but Gallo doesn't play the outfield much at all does he? might have been testing his arm. also might have thought the wet field might make it hard to stop, turn and throw accurately

That's fine and all, but Yuli did it the other night in Chicago. I mean these guys aren't even making things close. They're out by a mile

Fiers is a different guy they said. He's changed the way he pitches they said. You don't become a good pitcher in your 30's after years of being a journeyman crap bag. We are 3 weeks into the greatest collapse in MLB history.

We should've seen this coming, the bats have been bailing out a questionable pitching staff all year, now the bats are in a slump without Correa, our ace is not aceing, and our number 2 guy is still on the DL. I think the bats will wake up but this pitching staff is just not good enough for a deep run. I hope I'm wrong but they haven't shown me anything different yet.
