Fiers gave us 6 very good innings, just 2 hits albeit both runs scored off a HR. It's like the entire staff has a brick wall at 6.

Anyone else ever seen Mister Furious on this thread till today?
You're right bud. I am finally commenting. I've waited a lifetime for this franchise to get it together. This was a great year, and it's being trashed by a small time management crew/office.
You think things are on the up and up? Injuries aside, you think things have gone as well as they could have?

That same management and office that is "trashing" it is the same one that built it. Hope this helps.
No kidding, this team has been pitiful the last 2 weeks.W said:

Saying the season is "over" because of a 20 game stretch is absurd. Now if they play .400 ball all the way into October that is a different story. But you can't throw the season away after what has gone on the last 3 weeks. You could have spoke your mind when this team was also killing everyone before the break, but for some reason you only want to come on here and drag everyone downMisterFurious said:
I promise, nothing in my personal sports universe would make me happier than to live and see an Astros' World Championship. Frankly, I'm surprised all the posters on here that tell people "it's baseball" year after year haven't had it either.
We all know it's baseball. We all know injuries happen, and prospects don't pan out. Two teams came out of the break as the best in their league. One of them, injuries and all, made moves and have surpassed their winking clip after the break. The other.......
Why is it wrong to come on here and say as much? Plenty of fans bite their tongues all year, and I guess today was my day.
I think the veteran players on the team need to pull Hinch aside and say..."you're going to start the best 9 players on Tuesday vs. the White Sox. No designated days off. No AAA guys. Let's play to win."Aggie8587 said:No kidding, this team has been pitiful the last 2 weeks.W said:

Gotta find a way to create a spark and right the ship before this becomes a prolonged streak.
I disagree. These games do matter. Red Sox are only 8.5 back from us. We need to start putting some wins together soon and get hot in September. We can't just all of a sudden turn on a switch and be unstoppable again.JJxvi said:
Panic about what? That we might lose games months from now? These games don't matter, Astros need to get healthy and hit more consistently if you want earlier times in the year to come back.
have to disagree. These games do matter. The Astros need to be the #1 seed so they can avoid the Indians until the ALCS. Give someone else a chance to knock them out before thenJJxvi said:

Over .500 is winning more games than losing if I remember right. And usually that puts you in the playoffs. With the start these guys had, the least of their worries is the record right now. It's called the "Dog Day's of Summer" for a reason. They are just trying to get healthy and then gain momentum into the playoffs.aggie0109 said:
This team is barely over .500 since mid-June it's been longer than just the last 3 weeks.
