It was a known issue in trying to deal for Britton. I think we made a mistake trying to hit the home run when we should have pursued Wilson or someone else

That being said, it's nice to see Crane going to bat for Luhnow

But I think we were pursuing Wilson, the timing of how this stuff works can get screwed up if you think you have a deal and then stop pursuing someone based on that info.

I'm OK not going for a starter. I was rooting for a reliable lefty like Hand. He is a workhorse reliever who gets guys out and has control through 2020.Hand's consistency this year would have provided some much needed relief. Britton would have been high risk/high reward. Apparently both of those options were tough gets due to the asking price/opposite GM.
