I was just wondering that. You have to imagine Fisher is off the table with Aoki gone, and it never seemed very likely that Tucker would be traded. It will be interesting to see what happens with other trades if they happen

With White and Fisher called up, Moran on the DL, and Hernandez potentially being traded, Fresno's lineup has taken a serious hit.

I'm confident we will end up with Britton by 3pm today. Teams seem to be too seriously linked for it not to happen.

Also, Britton would be on this team next year as well. Brings multi-year elite value.

No. Nothing close to that.

Tucker is a full year away from being even a minor contributor. Who knows if Reddick continues to produce, etc.

I've said all along I think we can part with one of Tucker/Fisher but we need to keep one. That one now seems to be Fisher.

Tucker is now blocked for the next 3-4 years with Fisher, Springer, Reddick.

Yeah, that situation has been bizarre. Owner gives GM permission, GM doesn't want to, they add another RP, and now apparently want a kings ransom.

Would love to get Britton, but not for Fisher or Tucker.

The expectation internally is that Tucker is likely to be a better player than Fisher, so I'm not sure I would say he is necessarily "blocked" in the scenario where we keep both. I agree that keeping Fisher is certainly insurance if you deal Tucker, as he would be a young player under club control for many years that you assume will be a useful MLB player. Tucker's ceiling is considered much, much higher though, at least to the folks that matter inside the Astros organization.

I still think we get Hand while everyone is looking the other way.

That is our #3, #6, and #15 prospects (according to MLB). Davis at 15 seems criminally low too. He's a better prospect than Teoscar, Daz, Perez #3, and Stubbs.

I really wonder if something could happen with a SP as well, considering all the other news right now is on relievers. Something could fly right under the radar and happen for relatively cheap

Right, but if Fisher establishes himself as an everyday player then it'll be hard for Tucker to break in with Springer & Reddick already locked in. Fisher is going to have the opportunity to with the rest of this season and be a huge favorite to keep the starting job going into 2018 if he keeps up what he is doing.

All the reports out there say the O's demand at least 1 elite prospect. You threw in 3 mid range prospects. So.... the O's would hang up on you and never pick up the phone again based on that offer

Oh I agree with the assessment that Tucker will be better than Fisher.

My thinking is that he's still 2-3 years away from being a full time ML OFer. We're not going to deal Fisher with no one to come up and take his spot until Tucker is ready.

Because of the time gap I think Tucker is expendable if it's the right deal.

Throw in Orbit's services for one week and call it good. Let's get this done already.
