Yep, he's been really good in June. I also think his homerun issue is a little overblown - the MLB is on pace to smash the single season record for HRs.

I'm amazed how Fiers somehow manged to avoid going on the DL for whiplash the way the ball was leaving the yard the first 3 months of the season. The MLB numbers may be up, but he was contributing way more than his fair share to that statistic.

With that being said, it seems as though his demotion to the bullpen for all of 6 hours seemed to get his attention and he's been a completely different pitcher in June.

So it was announced that the AA team in San Antonio will move to Amarillo and the Colorado Springs AAA team will then move to San Antonio. I dont think they can officially announce affiliations yet, but the San Antonio will be the Rangers new AAA affiliate and the Astros will be back in Round Rock.

Love it if true. Got family in Hutto/RR area, and would love to start going to those games again.

That's fair, I think the bigger issue is bullpen and that should be addressed.

I've been following the MiLB drama in SA over the past couple years, and it seems to be politically difficult so far to get the city committed to building a new AAA ballpark. I doubt a AAA park can be built in SA in the near future.

FWIW, I wish the Astros' AAA affiliate was in SA, or even New Orleans, over Round Rock.

Dell Diamond is great. Love that park.
Tons of Astros fans in South Louisiana. They supported the affiliate in NOLA when they were there.
I just think San Antonio and Houston are more natural partners. Like Austin and Dallas.

I live a few miles from Dell Diamond. We moved here a few weeks before they announced the change to the Rangers AAA. I would be so happy to get the Astros minor league back.

So how do the minors work? Do the owners own the franchise and name and can move them around from spot to spot and then once the affiliation is determined, the MLB team sends them the players? So the Express this year is made up of Rangers prospects but next year will be Stros prospects?

The Ashby Julia rapport was really forced and seemed really campy. I get the feeling Blum Kalas and Julia actually get along really well and their interactions seem more natural

Can't blame him. I always fantasize that the orbit downing dollar hot dogs to O Fortuna is Julia. I couldn't stand her initially but she has really grown on me. I initially didn't like her after she made some old man feel really bad about saying "damn" on air during one of the crowd shots when she thought she was off camera.
