West coast games coupled with having to wake up at 0345 for work this week means I don't get to watch the games, but damn it's good to check the score as I'm brushing my teeth and see the W!
Oakland has to be the new most depressing place to play, since the marlins dont play at Dolphins stadium anymore.
9:10 CST start, played in a football stadium (in a city that no longer has a football team), sounds echoey and empty, stupid vuvuzelas and war drums droning on all game. Terrible atmosphere.
It's a real shame the Raiders owner added that monstrosity upper deck and blotted out the mountain view.
But I like the wins.

It's gotta be frustrating for arlington and laa. They're playing descent ball and still can't gain on a team missing significant pieces.
I think at this point they're focused on the WC.

I would send Diaz back down and send Peacock or Paulino to the pen and I would lean Peacock.
I know he's been good as a starter but he could be a great 2-3 inning bridge guy to get us to the back end guys.

This. Not because he hasn't been good as a starter, but the need for his arm out of the pen is much more important.

Agreed. Diaz lacks the control he needs to pitch out of the pen and I would rather the two new guys get time with the team and the major league staff.
I was thinking no way do we send Peacock back to the pen after his contributions starting, but after looking at his numbers, he was a solid starter, but great out of the pen. I say (agree?) that he could be more valuable from the pen than as starter. He'll lower the IP for guys like Dragon, Harris, Giles who we need to stay fresh for the postseason plus it isn't like we'd actually start him in the postseason so why not leave someone like Paulino or Martes in the rotation because they may actually be called on to start in Oct if they keep developing.
