Interesting predictions. We were 4th favored before opening day at 8%. Still 4th favorite until mid may. It upnto 12%. And now favored at 22%. Hell yes. I wonder how high we can get it at the All Star Break.

Think someone said it a few pages back but seriously the best part of my day is when I sit down and turn the game on. I'm constantly counting down how many hours are left until I can watch this team.

I usually have to put my little man to sleep in the middle of the game every night, I've got the timing down to a science on my roku of fast forwarding between each pitch.
The latest I ever started a game and caught up was the Twins game on Memorial day, Started the game 1 hour and 51 minutes behind and caught up to live in the 8th inning.. just in time to see the beginning of the comeback and the infamous tarp pull.
It's so much fun to watch each game, because no matter the score or how we have played this team is NEVER out of it. You feel like a kid on Christmas just waiting for the team to erupt because you know it's coming.
Springer is en fuego since they tried that tarp stunt in Miinnesota.
He started that game 0-4. Since the minute he walked back on the field, he is 15-28, 1 2B, 5 HR, .536/.558/1.179 (I think). Including that 0-4 his +wRC is 322. Without it its something like 340. Yes its a small sample of 5+ games, but that is the very definition of a hot batter.
I would not be surprised to see KC just throw balls in the dirt or out of the zone with him for a couple of games.

Everyone remember this when Springer goes ice cold again. I can't believe fangraphs doesn't have a way of tracking a standard deviation from game to game to track the streakiness of a hitter, but I'm sure Springer would win by a mile.
He almost reminds me of my golf game and I'm sure most people's... I get the swing down and see drives going where I want them consistently then I slowly get greedier and swing harder and harder until it's all out of whack again.
Bagwell could get like this. Crazy hot. When he did over an extended period (7-8 games), teams just quit pitching to him. LaRussa was the worst at it. If we were playing StL, Bagwell would just get walked for a series. The Barry Bonds treatment. Bagwell would cool off and LaRussa would win the war.
That's what was so impressive about Bags. He eye and plate discipline was so frickin good.
I think George has been better this season about taking walks, but I'm not yet convinced he's turned the big corner as far as that goes. We shall see.
But I do agree about KC avoiding him, especially with what he's done to them at that park. Remember his coming out party when he was called up and the huge first inning he had there last year with a GS and a triple IIRC?

Pick your poison. Don't pitch to George and put him on base for Reddick, Altuve, and Correa.
As long as he doesn't try to steal.
That's what I love about getting someone on base in the first.

What made that even sweeter last year was the fact that Volquez was pitching. That b threw at springer in 2015 for no obvious reason and George missed at least a month with a broken wrist.
I'm sure George really enjoyed that grand slam.

IIRC that episode was all about medical marijuana. Randy nuked his jewels in the microwave so he could get cancer and a legal prescription for Maryjane.
