If McCullers can't pitch on the road we need to ship him. If he's that much of a mental midget he will never reach his potential. Watching him act like a 10 year old on the mound yesterday was a joke

He can read minds?
Sounds great. I'd be finding any reason under the sun to skip Fiers starts.3B Paul 97 said:
I hope Hinch skips Fiers spot and uses him from the pen this week. Really want to keep Dallas on track and have Lance pitch at home.
I don't want to bring up the Rangers in this thread, but I have to. My old roommate at A&M was from Dallas and an Astros fan when we were in college. After the Rangers started getting good, he became this huge Rangers homer who planned his day around watching the game. When he'd come down to visit, he'd get annoying if the Rangers were on and our TV wasn't on the game, so we just put it on to keep him from having a breakdown.irish pete ag06 said:3B Paul 97 said:
0-4 in 1 run games thus far
Yep. Remember most of those chodes were talking about Bannister and just knowing how to win. Couldn't admit they were likely the luckiest team in MLB history.

I liked the post game interviews.
Fiers said: They needed a runner and wanted the most dispensable pitcher. They immediately called my name.
Springer said: He's slow
Studio guys said: He might only be faster than Strom out of all of the guys on the bench.

Astros righty Lupe Chavez has retired, as Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle notes. The Astros acquired the 19-year-old Chavez last August when they traded Scott Feldman to Toronto. Chavez had never pitched above the short-season leagues but had generally been successful, with a 2.19 ERA, 8.4 K/9 and 2.5 BB/9 over 107 career innings. The reason for his somewhat surprising decision to retire isn't known.
Yeah. It's a weird deal and sad. Apparently there's a family crisis back home.Ag_07 said:

I thought he was progressing nicely and thought that I even saw him crack a top 30 prospects list somewhere.
