This will get flamed, but the main point of the post is spot on. The only issues McCullers will have on the mound are purely mental ones.

I don't want to bring up the Rangers in this thread, but I have to. My old roommate at A&M was from Dallas and an Astros fan when we were in college. After the Rangers started getting good, he became this huge Rangers homer who planned his day around watching the game. When he'd come down to visit, he'd get annoying if the Rangers were on and our TV wasn't on the game, so we just put it on to keep him from having a breakdown.

Last Saturday night, I met him for a couple of drinks, and we sat at the bar watching the Royals throwing the Astros a towel, and I asked him how the Rangers were doing this season. His response is typical of most Rangers "fans"..."I dunno, they suck this year." I was also over at his place last season when Cleveland (I think) put up consecutive double digit poundings on them in back-to-back games. His meltdown was glorious. For grins, I asked if I could check in on the Astros, and we were winning or had won.

That's awesome. But some of those rankings are wack. The Rangers are at 19, while the mariners are at 24 after sweeping the Rangers.. .

Maybe after the top 5-10, they don't really care.

That is EXACTLY what I told my wife. Sipp had already pitched, so he couldn't run. Fiers was next on the list of guys we could do without.

Yeah I'd have to think McCullers is faster, but no way Hinch puts McCullers on the base paths to get injured.
