Didn't get to watch much Of the game today. Did the home plate ump ask for help? Was it reviewed? That's one of the worst I've seen.

Didn't ask for help because he's an ass. Non reviewable call.

Guys, just to let you know. Our Rangers double agents, Mike Hauschild and Delino Deshields Jr are doing there job to tank the Rangers. DDJ has been overmatched at the plate all year and his arm is an al dente noodle in left field. Hauschild may have blown his cover tonight though. He hung a slider on his second pitch in the game and Taylor Motter hit it nearly 400 feet.

I'm afraid they may be found out soon if they don't dial back the suckitude.

Man, it must suck for Hauschild to know that he's joined the "been taken deep by that Florida/Georgia Line guy" club. Total membership = 3 others, including Mike effn Fiers

And then McCullers comes back and paints the corner for what was clearly strike 3 (or 4) and doesn't get the call.

All the while, Correa is up in a similar situation, takes 5 straight balls, and finds himself in a 3-2 count.

It isn't uncommon to find an umpire with a poor strike zone but you generally see it go both ways. Didn't seem that way today. It's hard to stay objective with the refs in football/basketball but it isn't often I find myself wondering if a baseball ump has something riding on the outcome of a game.

He was pretty inconsistent the whole game with both teams. In the second inning, McCullers was struggling to hit his arbitrary corners and then struck the last batter out with a pitch well outside.

It was just plain bad umpiring. And the man took his licks.. one foul ball to the head, one to the nuts, and a third to the shoulder. I like to think it was the baseball God's sending him a message.

Don't look now, but the stros are tied for most wins in baseball

Are you talking about Friday's umpire, or did all that happen again today?

So do we still want to fire the hitting coach now that we're second in the AL in AVG, tops in runs and OBP, and have the second fewest strikeouts?

I was making the most food I've ever made today for my girlfriends family and friends but wanted to just post that I love this team. No game is out of reach.

He has an entire lineup of all star caliber bats, honestly we could have no hitting coach and still put up those numbers. I am willing to bet our FA pickups still have down years statistically..

At the in-laws in DFW for Easter and my FIL has always been a huge Rangers fan and will typically watch every game. Walk into the living room last night and he didn't have the game on so I asked him about it. He said, well they got down 5-0 and I knew it was over. Almost felt like mentioning the Astros did it twice this week but held myself back.

Interesting stat...both Stros and Rangers have scored 55 runs this year but we've allowed 48 while they've allowed 52. To be fair we've played one more game but thought it was interesting considering all the ridiculous 1 run games they won last year.

I agree. It's also why you won't see me calling for his head if the offense struggles for a week or so. Can't blame the coach when things go wrong and credit the players when they're good.

Your mom should be able to coach this lineup to offensive success

Looked this up out of curiosity. Depending on the inning, odds range from 1-7% chance of coming back.

Whatever team you like, this doesn't happen often.

Why don't these teams that live in ****ty states have retractable roof stadiums. Seriously that's the best way to go.

Don't think the Alameda taxpayers would go for it...
titanmaster_race

it's bs that taxpayers get stuck footing the bill for stadiums for private sports franchises

i bet because they really can't wait to try and get it in with the Astros having to fly back and play tomorrow in Houston. They will just play a double header later in the year.

Doesn't most of the tax money come from Hotel tax? so basically taxpayers in that district aren't footing the bill

She's been married to a baseball coach for over 40 years, so she would probably do okay.
