Didn't get to watch much Of the game today. Did the home plate ump ask for help? Was it reviewed? That's one of the worst I've seen.
Didn't ask for help because he's an ass. Non reviewable call.

And then McCullers comes back and paints the corner for what was clearly strike 3 (or 4) and doesn't get the call.
All the while, Correa is up in a similar situation, takes 5 straight balls, and finds himself in a 3-2 count.
It isn't uncommon to find an umpire with a poor strike zone but you generally see it go both ways. Didn't seem that way today. It's hard to stay objective with the refs in football/basketball but it isn't often I find myself wondering if a baseball ump has something riding on the outcome of a game.

It was just plain bad umpiring. And the man took his licks.. one foul ball to the head, one to the nuts, and a third to the shoulder. I like to think it was the baseball God's sending him a message.

So do we still want to fire the hitting coach now that we're second in the AL in AVG, tops in runs and OBP, and have the second fewest strikeouts?

..yes?

He has an entire lineup of all star caliber bats, honestly we could have no hitting coach and still put up those numbers. I am willing to bet our FA pickups still have down years statistically..

At the in-laws in DFW for Easter and my FIL has always been a huge Rangers fan and will typically watch every game. Walk into the living room last night and he didn't have the game on so I asked him about it. He said, well they got down 5-0 and I knew it was over. Almost felt like mentioning the Astros did it twice this week but held myself back.

Looked this up out of curiosity. Depending on the inning, odds range from 1-7% chance of coming back.
Whatever team you like, this doesn't happen often.

Don't think the Alameda taxpayers would go for it...JABQ04 said:TheFeelOfCotton383 said:

Why don't these teams that live in ****ty states have retractable roof stadiums. Seriously that's the best way to go.

i bet because they really can't wait to try and get it in with the Astros having to fly back and play tomorrow in Houston. They will just play a double header later in the year.ClickClack said:
Wow. How can they already call it? Well, at least they get to head back home now.

Your mom should be able to coach this lineup to offensive success
