If we have no other pitching injuries, then yeah, Fiers isn't needed...or you could keep him and do something with Peacock or Sipp. But my guess is another starter will hit the DL, so someone will enter the rotation and someone will be long relief. And I'm not expecting McHugh back until the All-star break.

So Correa gave them a run in the first and just ran us out of more potential runs. Maybe he'll make up for it later.

Correa did something very similar to that in WBC. He tries too hard sometimes. 2 big mistakes in this game already.

It's early, but this team is fundamentally not good.

That pissed me off as much as it did anyone else, but after watching the replay from the other angle I can at least understand how it happened. Pettis waved him home at first, and by the time he changed it to the stop sign, Carlos was looking down to make sure he stepped on the bag. It happened that fast.

It's still ridiculous that we continue to trip over our own ***** like this. My level of frustration dropped from a 10 to a 9 after watching it again.

(And yes, Carlos did the same thing in the WBC.)
