We sent 25 people to the plate after McCann's homer and not a single hit...

he will start against all right handed pitching in the playoffs

We've been shutout 2 or 3 times and delivered 2-hit, 1-run performances multiple times.

One was against the A's like two weeks ago. Another was against a bad Texas pitching staff. Only one was against a real team (CLE)...

I bet we still squared some balls up in those games though. And I bet we weren't not hit for the final 7 innings either

I think Altuve would benefit from sliding to #2 also. He doesn't drive in runs at a very high rate and has been pressing lately in the 3-hole. I'd be fine with something like this:

1. Springer RF
2. Altuve 2B
3. Correa SS
4. Reddick LF
5. Gurriel DH
6. Gonzalez 1B
7. Bregman 3B
8. McCann C
9. Maybin CF

That lineup is stacked, gives you speed and defense in the outfield, provides athleticism at 1B and keeps Yuli off his feet, breaks up lefties and righties nicely, and spreads out the power hitters in the lineup

0% chance he moves Correa. He stuck with him to start the year when he was awful, and he turned it around. Hinch will count on him coming through again.

I thought Altuve was a cinch for his 4th straight 200 hit season. Incredibly, he may Actually not get there.

I'm thinking more like Correa sliding down to the 6-hole if he doesn't start hitting in the next 10 days

The thing with Beltran is really puzzling. For a team like the Astros that prides itself on being data driven, to give up that many ABs for a guy because he's good in the clubhouse.

Personally, I buy into that theory which says the Astros are bending over backwards to appease Beltran in order to make a strong impression on Correa (which would come in handy when Correa is due a huge contract).

Top 5 in the order went a collective 0-17 last night. That's not going to win many ballgames even against one of the worst teams in the league. Stinky.

The thing is that Beltran isn't an issue when the lineup is clicking (see 1st half) but when it's scuffling a bit it's harder to hide him.

DH will be one thing Lunhow will have to address this offseason.

Someone like Jay Bruce, Logan Morrison, or Carlos Santana. They aren't going to break the bank. They aren't going to hit for a high average. But they're an immediate upgrade and bring some power too.

Arkansas is very surprising. Atlanta has a huge following on that map and Im suprised Tampa beat out Miami.......and NYY for florida

Part of the reason for the Cubs and Braves on that map is at least when I was growing up (80s/90s) you had them on TV almost everyday on WGN and TBS - just a lot more exposure for those two teams.

I'm very surprised Arkansas isn't Cardinals.

Is this is the EC then we finish 5th. Ahead of Boston, but trailing the Cubs. We need to keep winning and complete the LA takeover. If we could flip OK then we'd start making a run at Atlanta.

No kidding, let's pump the brakes on moving Correa in the order. At the end of the day, if Correa does not hit in the playoffs (and nobody else picks up the slack for him), we likely are not winning the World Series anyway, regardless of what spot Correa hits in the order.
