I think saying the "feel the need to insert themselves into a ball in play" is disingenuous. I seriously doubt they have any desire to disrupt the play. More likely they want a World Series ball so badly that they aren't paying enough attention to realize that the ball they think is foul was actually called fair.

Sure, they aren't paying attention and are doing dumb things, but I wouldn't attribute those intentions to them.
And if they aren't paying attention during a WS game, they should be removed if they touch a ball in play. Stop the damn madness and set a precedent. re: Steve Bartman.
