What are the different and best options for places to post up with SRO tickets?

- Left field rail between the pump and Crawford boxes.
- Concourse at the top of sections
- Are the tables in centerfield or Torchys open for SRO?
- Stairs going up to torchys in center

How early do you think you'd need to get there to get a good spot? An hour before gates open?

I've never done it but it's come up before and most people said probably need to get there just after gates open.

What seems to be the consensus on Stubhub prices...are they going to hold? I was thinking about spending $300-$400 for a seat (and no, not even expecting a good seat) but no way at $800 for SRO.

I'd be driving in from San Antonio so I can't do the "show up and see what happens outside the ballpark" strategy.

Posted this on another thread. Thought this was a good photo from game 2. Eighth inning Game 2 ALCS. Was there again last night and it was explosive.

As long as StubHub is flooded with SRO tickets, prices are going to be inflated.

Top area around torchies is all first come. They all fill up as soon as gates open so get in line at least 30 min before gates open

I'll throw in the Saint Arnold's bar and that corner down there by the LF foul pole.

Alex Cora officially to the Red Sox

Good for him! Hopefully he gets a ring this year because he's going to have a hell of a time earning one in the future if he has to go through the Astros to get it.

The Torchys tables would be ideal so we would have some ability to get drinks or go to the bathroom.

This just feels appropriate in response to posts about Aaron Judge:

This was my advice during the ALDS and ALCS. I'd bet the World Series is probably more extreme with times, crowds, etc.

If you get there early enough, behind the first base line (around 131ish) is a good spot. Probably need to be there about an hour early or so. The left field/third base side of the concourse fills up first.
Also, behind 251 on the mezzanine is a great spot as well and was open last week until 30 minutes or so before first pitch.

Btw, I sat with the rats two days ago.... I just got invited to sit in good seats recently. The SRO tickets kind of sucked because we had a group of meatheads stand right in front of us (at torchys). We got there 2 hours before game time and just before the first pitch a group of meatheads walked in front of us and wouldn't move. The big Hispanic guy with the massive moustache dispatched the people in front of him but we weren't gonna be as fortunate without a ruckus.

I need some World Series gear but would prefer not waiting for the shipping/can't afford express shipping. Any idea if the College Station Academy location would have any? I was tempted to order that navy blue fitted cap, but I have no clue which size I am.

Just FYI I had SRO for one of the ALCS games and they had a lot of the area around torchys blocked off for media. It never filled up and just pissed me off, but they wouldn't budge in their rules.

shameless plug...but really just wanted to show yall the video and I dont know how to post it.

I rewatched the game yesterday and noticed that McCann didnt give Lance a sign here. Just a nod. I thought this was awesome. It gives me chills.

Like something off of a movie.

There's a montage on this page of all those 24 curveballs Lance threw.

McCullers' 24 consecutive curves

If he continues to pitch like he has then we'll have the best 123 in baseball

Stupid 1,2,3 for next year. I say we move Morton to the pen honestly. He could be one of the nastiest relievers in the sport. Keep Peacock in the rotation. And then either sign the 5th guy, or hopefully Martes is ready.

They honestly have 6 options next year for starting pitching - Verlander, Keuchel, McCullers are 1,2,3 but still have Morton, McHugh and Peacock so doubt they sign another starter. I would think another power arm in the bullpen would be priority.

Please please please please get 1 or 2 lefty relievers who are worth more than a bucket of balls.

I just rewatched game 7 and what occurred to me is what if we hadn't traded for McCann. Assume that McCann was still behind the dish for the Yankees (big assumption with Sanchez coming on, I know). How many outs were made at the plate in this series and how many weren't made at the plate for the Yankees? That's a huge swing of both runs and momentum in this tight series.

Why does everyone forget McHugh?

Honestly I don't think we're even in the ALCS without Brian McCann.

How he handles the pitching staff and how he works with those guys is unbelievable. We saw it in Game 4 when Harris shook off Gattis multiple times. That doesn't happen with McCann behind the plate.

I know he's had his scuffles at the plate for a good stretch of the season but the man is a valuable asset to this team. I love to hear how highly the pitchers speak of him.

Plus he's far and away better than Jason freeking Castro.

And that play at the plate was just a good a job by McCann making that catch and holding on to the ball as it was by Bregman.

McCann was awful at the plate for most of the series but he had some key hits in the last couple games.

I'm ok with him being bad at the plate as long as he continues to be outstanding behind the plate. The way he handles the pitching staff is just as valuable as his production at the plate.

You know it's a great game when you are high-fiving and hugging complete strangers in the stands at the end of a game. I can't wait to get back for Game 3 of the World Series.

Just called up our IT Director that had been relocated to DFW to let him know he couid choose which game to bring his wife to. Being able to tell him that, with as big of an Astros fan as he's been, was pretty special. There's just something about this sport that is different. Love this team!

I just read that this is the first matchup of 100 win teams in the World Series since 1970, wow.
