That's an interesting point, that may be part of the reason it seems that way. But I just feel like his lack of opportunities to see pitches he can drive this year could be due to his position in the box compared to last year when he had career HR numbers

He's always stood far away. He has a long reach despite his size, and his bat is longer and heavier than most MLB players. His plate approach is designed to scrap hit.

and the irony is the fact that I didn't care either way. I'm just amused at the different personalities the various boards, threads, and mods can take over the last (almost) 20 years on this site.

I came across a thread that reminded me of the trials this one went through and thought it was relevant and humorous. Guess not.

Against a RHP, that's alternating R/L every batter except one. Of course there's more to a lineup than that, but it feels like forever since we've been able to scatter that many quality lefties. It means little in the grand scheme of things, but it does make the opposing manager think a little in the late innings.

No need to rush him back this early in the season. The radio guys today were saying there are code words being used and that it is worse than they are saying. If this was September, I would be willing to bet he would have played through it or missed a game.

I've always thought it was super risky taking home on any wild pitch/passed ball at MMP, just not a ton of room back there
