It's par for the course for every homestand this season. The offense completely shuts down at home, and the pitching is usually great. Incredibly frustrating. No home field advantage at all.

If we're hovering at 0.500 at the trade deadline you'll absolutely see us shed some pieces if we can. Not a full blown firesale, but guys like Lucroy and Napoli that don't have a future on this team will be shopped.

Well, just a week or so ago, and we were not even within like 5 Games of the WC.

By July 15, there will be plenty of separation for many teams. I think we'll have one of the WC spots.

Also, just because we are .500, is no indication of this team. We were 13-19 May 8th. To get to 33-33, we've had to go 20-14. In large part because we've made some adjustments to personnel, ala Dyson. Not that he is solely responsible.

He averages 23 seconds between pitches AND throws a ton of pitches. Yu is actually slower, but faces fewer batters.

PSA: Brinson since getting the call from Milw:
6G, 17 AB, 2 H, 8K, 2 BB, 0R, 0HR, 0RBI.
He has a Triple and a SB.

Small sample, 1st call, but at 23, shows he still has a ways to go. He is 15 months younger than Profar and 11 months older than Mazara.

Wish him well and will continue to have interest. Glad he is getting a chance at the bigs.

I am of the wait and see camp as well when it comes to trade deadline. I could see us making a smaller trade like unloading Napoli or lucroy or maybe even gomez. I don't think we could get much for Napoli but I would like to see lucroy flipped for prospects and have chirinos be primary catcher for second half of season. I could also see us making a smaller deal for a bullpen arm. I don't see us pulling a larger trade like we did for hamels in 2015 or even a trade like we did for lucroy last year. Just my thoughts though...

If I understand the new CBA, a FA with a QO who signs elsewhere for more than $50M, will net the Rangers a pick between the 1st & 2nd Rd. The penalty for signing them has been reduced.

That's a 3yr/$16.7M deal or a 4yr/$12.5M or a 5yr/$10M.

Who might that apply to from the Rangers:

Carlos Gomez (31) - $11.5M in 2017
Yu Darvish (30) - $11M in 2017
Andrew Cashner (30) - $10M in 2017
Tyson Ross (30) - $6M in 2017
Jonathan Lucroy (31) $5.2M in 2017

Getting upwards of 5 sandwich picks . Think of the Pool money the Rangers would get. About $2M per pick. You'd really have to do your homework, but that is the type of pool money, where, if you can take a few guys earlier than they thought, offer them less to take them... you could sign even bigger names further down.

If the value of Lucroy is a sandwich pick and $2M of pool money, that's a ton.

has to be able to osmosis some mental game.

Now, they do have some years on him (at least 4), and he isn't that far behind in GS, but... come on.

Have the Rangers just rushed him along too fast?! Darvish has 20 more GS, Ross has 9 and Cashner has 27. ALL 3 are within one season's GS.
