Saw the deal with Kela ended up requiring Beltre and Daniels to get involved. I hope that kid gets it together. He's a damned good pitcher, but if he's going to think he can buck up to established veterans when he's acting like a punk then he's got to go.

Just found this, sounds like we are hoping a kick in the arse and Round Rock demotion will get him back in gear. If not, he may be shipped out before too long. He has a lot of potential, hopefully he can get his head on straight and not screw it up again.

Wow. I wonder what exactly specifically happened. Everything I've read has been pretty general, and it would make sense that it would stay that way.

Sounds to me like he half assed his outing, established vets including Beltre tried to coach him up, and instead of acknowledging his fault decided to try and act like Billy Bad Ass and tell them what was what and it maybe got out of hand. Not allowing him on the charter home sounds to me like they were concerned there could be a further incident. That's a bad look. He's good, he ain't that good.

Apparently something pretty significant happened with him 2 years ago as well.

Unrelated note: If y'all thought Globe Life was lame, the White Sox now play at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Not feeling all that confident with Perez at the helm tonight. If there's one thing that's clear it's that the Indians are still very good if not better. Imagine what they'll be when Kipnis comes back.

Depends on which Perez shows up. I'd like to think one day he'll show up and be that guy who at least had people mentioning breaking Hershiser's shutout record. Maybe wishful thinking but he's got the stuff to be good if he can kee his head from going all over the place.

Like most Rangers pitchers, if he would just effing pitch to contact and trust his stuff he could be damn good. Same goes for Darvish. Always feel like those two make it more complex than it needs to be.

Glad Lucroy is getting a much needed day off.

I understood your meaning but it was an issue discussed quite a bit at the end of last year when he seemed to have quite a few days off.

Bannister has been pretty consistent the last couple of years that all the position players get atleast one start during the opening series. So I'd bet money that Robinson and DeShields both start tomorrow.

Really thought we would see Delino starting LF today after his monster spring and slimmed down physique. Got to believe he should have pinch hit for Gallo yesterday in the 9th to lead off as well. I am a little biased, but I just love what his speed can do to change the complexion of a game

Rua had an even better spring and Profar had the best WBC of any hitter. All three LF platoonmates have shown a lot this Spring to justify playing time, so don't count on there being a regular starter.

I get the idea behind your PH idea, but it would have surprised me to sub out a LHH for a RHH vs a RHP. If you don't trust Gallo to get that plate appearance, he shouldn't be on the team.

Yeah, I can understand why Banister didn't PH Delino for Gallo last night, especially expecting Deshields to get on base coming into the game cold off the bench. But I definitely don't trust Gallo with that plate appearance, and if it wasn't for Beltre starting on the DL, he would in AAA where he belongs. I am really hoping either him or Profar prove me wrong and actually start to live up to their hype so we can package one of them in a deal at the trade deadline. But again, I am biased and its purely my speculation
