Beltre starting on the DL. Gallo will play 3B
Thanks J. For a moment yesterday, I thought "those shapes look like the outlines for greens" but dismissed it as silly. My wife thought the shape in right field looked like a heart.AccidentProne said:
We had a golf event at the ballpark in November, and unfortunately it's taken longer than expected to fix the outfield
Doesn't change the fact that it's one of the worst looking fields in all of baseball and has been for a long time. And the ballpark isn't much different than any of the other ones when it comes to sunlight and they all seem to get their fields looking top notch. It's pathetic that the field looks the way it does whenever the guy had 6 months to get it ready to go. Sorry if that's your buddy, but the field is **** compared to the others.sburg2007 said:
You clearly have no clue what you're talking about. In regards to the circles, the paint used suffocated the rye seedlings that were down and were forced to sod those areas. Not ideal time to lay overseeded sod. In regards to right field, it gets almost no sunlight. Grass needs sun to survive. They've had to sod that area numerous times in season because of this issue. Prior to '15 a new Bermuda variety was installed, latitude 36 that is much more cold and shade tolerant. No issues with it the last 2 years. Lastly, Bermuda does not stripe well at all. The field is overseeded at a very low rate then transitioned rather quickly in may. All of those crazy patterns you see are on cool season, bunch type grasses such as rye and bluegrass. Blue Bell is a good example. Nick can do all the fun patterns bc it's on rye. Anything else I can correct you on?

Yadier signing for 3 years and approx $18mm per. Puts a mark out there relevant to the Lucroy negotiations.

Quite frankly I don't know why anyone is bothering to defend the Rangers grass guy. The ballpark as a whole isn't very good anymore compared to the rest of the league. That is precisely why the Rangers are upgrading as soon as they possibly can.
Ever roasted on 3B side during July? I'll take the roof, thanks.TV Casualty said:grapespda2525 said:

There's nothing wrong the ballpark. It's still a great venue to watch a game.
I went to Miller park last year and I can't say that I'm excited for indoor baseball.
I don't think you are mocking the correct guy in this situation.Seven Costanza said:
"What did you do today, honey?"
"Argued with a guy on the internet. About grass. Turf grass on baseball fields, specifically. He didn't know s***. I dropped some names. Rye grass. Blue grass. "Cool season turf". Really put him in his place."
"Cool."
