I am really excited for Mazara. His approach and attitude is so mature for his age. I hope he takes a step forward in his sophomore season. It is all about adjustments. Once the league adjusted to him the second half of the season, his stats declined. But I am hopeful that he will be able to make the necessary adjustments to be a borderline All-Star this year. I am thinking .290 Avg/25-30 homers/90 RBIs. If we get that in the middle of our lineup, it would be awesome!

I sure hope we can get that kind of stat line out of him. A 22 year old with that line would be incredible.

It was a good risk to take but I think Hambone is done.

Yep, he just can't stay healthy. At least it was a minor league contract that we signed him to. He is still getting paid this year by the Angels anyway. Believe it is the last year of that gravy train for him.

Good thing he was not being counted on for anything other than possibly getting playing time. Was a good flyer to take. But I think it is time for Josh to be done.

He wasn't being counted on, but it sure woulda been nice to have an extra lefty bat.

At least it happened this early. But it's probably time to hang it up

Dude how can you "leave to beat traffic" when you are watching history being made?!

I was at the game as well, I was 8 years old and remember around the 6th inning my dad telling me I could be seeing something very special take place. At the time I just cared that it was Will Clark jersey night, but looking back it's cool to have a few memories of the game (Greer's catches, Canseco's 2 bombs)

Preaching to the choir man. I was 12. My uncle still gives him hell about leaving that game.

Watched it on tv. What a great night you could feel the electricity from the crowd through the broadcast.

Just saw Hamilton had surgery on his knee. Dude needs to just retire and call it a career, maybe get into coaching or something.

Of all things, that should be the last to worry about. He's getting paid this year no matter what, and he's never going to get another contract of any value because of his health. Yet he's worked to try and get back. You don't fight through injuries to try and play if you don't care, when all the money is guaranteed regardless.

I'd be thankful, but not sure that's really dodging a bullet... It's not like he thought he had an arm injury and then didn't.

Yep. Certainly the right decision to take him out but give him a Gatorade and an IV and life goes on as normal. Rangers can't afford having anyone in the bullpen missing much time.
