I think I'm done watching. Regardless of if we pull out a win somehow, if Banister lets Dyson pitch in anything less than mop-up duty for about the next month I will officially lose faith in him as a manager.

Fuuck you Jeff Banister. Play to win. Not play to please. Awful coaching. It is so obvious to the rest of the world that Dyson won't get it done. Yet you bury your head in the fuucking sand.

Just woke up and saw what happened and honestly wasn't surprised. At this point it's not on Dyson, it's on Bannister for putting him out there and wasting a good start.
I'd be interested to see how many pitchers have had essentially an even ball to strike ratio and gone 7 IP with 1 ER. That's crazy to me.
Well the bright side of living on the east coast while the Rangers play west coast games is I fall asleep when we're still winning.

Bannister made some comments about looking for other opportunities and he'll look at options. I can't imagine he sticks with Dyson at this point. The same thing happened last year. Hopefully, he can once again right the ship.

Went to bed in the top 9th when they announced Dyson was warming up to come into the game to close. At that point i knew the Rangers were gonna lose, so went to bed instead
It's Barnette's fault as well, if he doesn't give up a run it's not a save situation and Dyson doesn't pitch.

I have a feeling it'll be something along this line of thought. We'll get the "he's been battling an injured _____, he was a gamer pitching in pain, etc". Something is wrong with him. He looked sharp in the WBC.
But we obviously can't keep running him out there. That is three wins he has cost us already.
Thought the same thing but then it occurred to me Banny might have thrown him out there in a non-save situation just to give him a "win". Still probably would have blown it.
That's 3 games Dyson has lost all by himself. These aren't hard save situations either. We're giving him 3 and 4 run leads to work with and he still can't do it.
The bullpen needs to sacrifice a chicken or goat or something, this is getting ridiculous
In my mind, the Cleveland Indians are the standard for bullpen management for the most part. They use their bullpen to play matchups, and although they have a "closer," it's not entirely unlikely to see Andrew Miller close for them. I think this is the smartest way to go. There's no need to have a bullpen formula. Play matchups and go from there. Dyson has no business as our closer. He has blown 3 of 7 games for us. That is entirely unacceptable.
And I don't really give a flying **** what Kela did or what clubhouse issues he has. He needs to be up here helping this ****ty bullpen. Can't have a guy like that in AAA when the bullpen has blown every single lead the team has had this year
If he's causing issues in the clubhouse then I don't care. It being bad enough that he wasn't allowed in the team charter home is more than just a minor issue in my opinion.
True, but I guarantee Dyson is causing locker room issues of his own right now.
I doubt it unless there's some question to his effort. I'm sure he's as frustrated as everybody else, if not more so.

That doesn't mean anything to me. We need him up here. With Diekman out and Dyson not being able to get an out, we pretty much have nothing back there
