I turned the game off during the 6th last night and just saw the recap. If anything, last night just proved that Beltre is the goat and will continue to be my all time favorite player

FYI, if you purchased tickets for A&M night tomorrow night, don't feel like you need to rush to get to the ballpark. I would still get there when the gates open, but we won't run out of hats nearly as fast as we did last year

All thing considered, at the time the Lucroy/Jeffress trade looked great. But it has turned out to be a complete bust of a deal for us. Lucroy is about as mediocre as possible, and Jeffress is just bad.

It sucks because at the time, Lucroy and Jeffress for the most part did what we brought them here to do. They filled roles that were needed. Then Hamels and Darvish fall flat on their face in games one and two. That's why I don't really fault JD for that one. Bring in two guys you need, they perform well, then two other guys who have been stable all year come out and lay massive eggs.

They are the envy of MLB with Brinson (23) hitting .118 and Cordell raking at AAA - .284, 10 HR, 9 SB. Both guys that were Rule V eligible this past offseason.

Luiz Ortiz is the real mystery. He is 21 and doing 3.57 in 17 GS at AA. How far away is he?

Lucroy and Jeffress were solid contributors for the Rangers in 2016. Without Lucroy, who is our Catcher for 2017?!

Chirinos (33) is .227, 12 HRs, and 42 Ks in 44 Games. A Career .230 with 93 GP the most in a season.
Lucroy (31) is .245, 4 HRs and 32 Ks in 76 Games. Career .280 with seven (7) seasons with 95 or more games in a season.

Is he broken? It would appear so. Maybe his catching game is better suited for the NL?!

Yes, he's hitting .118 with a 34 AB sample size

I'd hate to lose him too but he's not well liked in the clubhouse and I think guys like Beltre don't want to put up with those kinda distractions
