What other options are there? You could go DeShields, Choo, and Elvis I suppose. But then what do you do with Nap, Nomar, and Gallo? Meaning, you could DH Choo, and then platoon Nap and Gallo at first?

Way too many liabilities with this team.

I think we should just bat everyone 9th. That's where they belong. (Except maybe Elvis and Beltre.

Everyone else gets shuffled around when they struggle. Don't understand why Mazara gets a pass.

I was going to post that I would not give Ross a very long leash.

He has not shown the ability to dial it back in. Once he starts to struggle (1st or 2nd pitch of the game?) he really hasn't recovered. He can hold, but it won't improve.

I just looked and ABD has only pitched once in July. Not sure if he has an issue, or what... but that is strange.

Not sure what is up with ABD, but Ross doesn't not need to start another game for the Rangers. Even the radio broadcast suggested they could skip his spot with an upcoming day off.

I don't like this team either and wouldn't mind them selling but can understand staying as is. I've witnessed worse teams than this one get hot at the right time and make a run. Silver lining is the bullpen has been much better lately. One thing about Banister's teams though...they are resilient and always seem to put it together in the 2nd half. We'll see...just gonna try to enjoy it either way.

Seems like Odor and Napoli may be turning things around. Mazara has got to do the same if this team is to make any noise.
