What is the record for blown saves? Seriously
It isn't just about "hitting well."TXAggie2011 said:
If Pinto isn't hitting well, that entire A+ team isn't hitting well.
FWIW, at 22, he's younger than average for that roster.
His defense must be terrible and/or he's just not been showing progress from season to season.

Our Round Rock team now sucks....it was full of prospects...now it's full of players you pray don't get called up...and a losing record

Luckily for the Rangers, every team must be represented at the all-star game.

Round Rock is going to be affiliated with the Astros soon, so I'm guessing the Rangers are fine with them not winning or doing well.
Having said that... last I checked they had like two guys 35 or older in their rotation.

I don't know that park. It is new to the Rangers organization.
Things to consider...
- Age
- Was he drafted out of HS or College or Intl
- How long has he been in the organization
- Which direction is he headed
- How much control does the team have
- What position does he play
- Injuries
Reference:
Eduard Pinto (22): DOB: 10/23/94
Int'l signing
Been with the Rangers' organization for 7 years.
Played at AA last year.
Rule V Eligible
Plays OF. No power. Limited speed.
Today's lineup:
Lipka (25-CF): 12/27/93 - 2010 CompA Draft by Atl. Has played AAA, AA and now A+ for Rangers.
Rollin (21-LF): 08/26/95 - DR - Signed 2014
Y. Perez (21-1B): 08/10/95 - Cuba
La O: (25-2B) 12/9/91 - Cuba - Signed in Jan 2017
Hoosier (23-DH): 12/24/93 - 2013 Rd8
Altmann (22-3B): 07/06/94 - 2015 Rd22
Moorman (23-C): 01/09/94 - 2012 Rd17
LeDarious Clark (23-OF): 12/27/93 - 2015 Rd12
B. Perez (21-SS): 01/27/96 - Columbia (Signed 2013)
I'm not going to make any arguments for where Pinto compares to each player. He plays OF... a position of surplus. He has limited team control after being in the organization a long time. They know his ceiling. I don't know other than LeDarious Clark, that any of those players are even in the field of view for the Rangers long-term.
I was hoping to be able to vote in Odor. Not because he really deserves it, but to piss off Astros and Blue Jays fans.demack06 said:Yu made the roster_lefraud_ said:jtstanley4621 said:

Ugh... had this post all typed out, and lost it.hawk1689 said:
They guy has a minor league career batting average of .309. That includes a significant sample size at AA. We just traded him for a 40 year old with a 6.97 ERA that was DFA. I know that Pinto was a fringe prospect. But he still had some value, however small. Daniels has shown a tendency to waste roster spots on relievers and now Odubel Herrera is starting for the Phillies because of this. I hope that Pinto doesn't turn out the same.
