Jake, through his small sample size, has an incredibly inflated fly ball %, but not because of lack of good contact. He's hitting the ball hard 50% of the time (4 out of 8 times he's made contact).

He just simply hasn't had enough at bats to judge anything off of. I still think he can be a .235/.300/.400 guy, which is better than Gomez since he's joined the Astros.

Plus, Jake has more range as a defender.

I really liked Marisnick last year. But the dude has sucked this year. Sorry, not going to put much stock into the he's hit the ball hard 50% of the time. He's struck out like 4 times more than he's hit the ball hard....

I will say I don't necessarily understand pulling him when we did. If you're wanting to get him reps, put him out there, don't pull him after two at bats. I could understand pulling him towards the end of a close game or just giving him time when we go up big. Just don't understand starting him and only giving him two AB's.

But, hey, it worked so what do I know.

It's actually just 2 times more.

The guy is in a funk. But he's not as bad as his limited time has shown. A lot of guys press when they only get to bat once every 3 games. He wants to prove himself.
