And not to mention with how our luck is going he'd probably be throwing 95 and painting corners today, then get here and his velocity will drop by 15 mph and start hanging pitches everywhere, walking 9 hole hitters, and giving up bombs.

If LF is the only way we can fit him in the lineup, well ok. But DH is optimal IMO.

We're facing a guy making his first major league start who gave up 5 hits and 2 runs in one inning of relief work. He had a good AAA ERA this year, but nothing real impressive over his minor league career.

So, how many runs do we score? Do we keep making opposing pitchers look like Cy Young candidates?
