I'm beyond being frustrated with Wilhelmsen. It's now moved to the fascination stage. I just cannot understand how a guy can put up 5 very solid seasons and then be this bad. He's giving up hits at twice his career rate. His strikeouts have dropped to half his career rate. He's only pitched 21 innings vs he's usually between 60-80 for a season, yet he's already given up a career high in homers for a season and the 2nd most Earned runs for a season (only 2 short of his career high). I don't think I've ever seen anything like this.

I'm assuming we should expect Holaday or Wilson to be traded anytime now. It's such a shame that one of them will get discarded given how well they've played for Texas this year.

With Choo back, the Rangers position player situation is insane. A guy like Rua, who is crushing it right now, is going to have sit vs RHP just to get everyone in the game, assuming they continue playing Prince every game or atleast vs every RHP.

Since sitting out back to back games vs Houston, Moreland is really playing well. It's only a six game stretch, but got to start somewhere.

When Beltre plays again, it gets even sillier.

I see in the boxscore that Holaday (LF) went in for Desmond and Rua moved to CF. Was that just a rest thing, or did something happen to Desmond?

Yeah the bench situation is interesting you could have:
Rua as your 4th OF: .291 \ 5 HR \ 6 SB in 42 Games.
Profar as your Util IF: .343 \ 2 HR \ 0 SB in 17 Games.
Holaday as your 3rd C: .250 \ 2 HR in 26 Games.

That was Holaday's 1st game in the OF, since being drafted. Maybe they figure keeping him and getting some OF will give them more versatility and a better option than Hoying, although Hoying was more of a defensive replacement.

And by versatility, I mean... we play in St. Louis and will have some double switches and generally more PH.

If you have Hoying, you might as well let the pitcher hit.

There's just something about that place where we play.... Dumb. They just seem to hit it to juuuuust the right spot. And then that Khris Davis guy seems to always hit homers. Of course, we would have been in very good position to win if Wilhelmsen hadn't come in and been aggressively terrible giving up all those runs. Maybe.... Just maybe... Tolleson figured something out last night? I think they said on the radio he went 7 up, 7 down. That's at least encouraging.
