Baseball is a funny game.

The side struck out with Desmond, Odor & Rua. Combined 0-6 with 4 Ks.
Holaday and Moreland with base hits.

Has the tide turned?! Are we now going to be pissed off at Desmond and Odor slumping while Moreland goes on a binge?

Glass half-full: when Prince was feasting, he was knocking mistake pitches like that out of the park, when he's struggled he hasn't.

MLB Gameday showed the pitch was a 84 MPH change up right down the middle. Even a bat that has been as slow as Prince's lately can rap that pitch.

About 20' to the fair side of the RF pole. He stood there like "Oh, yeah, this isn't batting practice." Kindly dropped his bat and ran around the bases as vigorously as I've seen him run.

But he hasn't been. That's been the worst part about Prince is that even on mistake pitches he's been popping up or rolling them over.

Probably doesn't mean it's the start of anything, but at least it's *something*.

They just said Prince home run went 420 ft with exit velo of 112mph. Ball was smoked. Also, with the homerun Prince is now 9 for 13 against McHugh, so this is a guy he routinely hammers.

If we win the World Series... it won't be because we have Gallo hitting DH. It will be because Fielder is doing what Fielder does.

If Beltre goes to the DL, Gallo is likely called up. Outside of that, we are not going to bench or release a guy making $18M for the next 4 years.
