Up>>>> Houston's and The Rangers are currently 8 games better in the standings so yes they are that much better. Now GTFO


Both teams went down to the wire last year for the division and went the exact same distance in the playoffs. An 8 game lead in June doesn't mean ****.

Reality is the Rangers are 8 games better and absolutely own the Astros. If you honestly think these 2 teams are evenly matched then you're out of touch with reality.

Talent and future talent wise we are light years ahead of Houston. The only reason we dipped the last 2 years was the most injuries in mlb history over a 2 year stretch

I think the difference is the Astros wilted down the stretch while the Rangers caught fire. So far two months into the season those trends have continued. I'll take a "meat head" Bannister who lights a fire under his team over a pencil pusher like Hinch.

Rangers won the division by 2 games. And have a 17 (?) game winning streak over the Astros. Keep trying.

Reality is it was close last year because the Astros started on fire and then did nothing and lost the division. Reality is you're over here parroting the Astros line about Bannister being a meathead. That meathead makes Hinch look like a scared child every time the two go head to head. Reality is the head to head record, you know the best indication of whether or not one team is the better than the other, is so insanely out of whack it's astounding you people keep going with the whole "they're not that much better" line.

They owned them last year as well. They ended up in a dead heat for the division and went the same distance in the postseason. Arguing a head to head matchup doesn't carry much weight.

The Rangers don't have a spot for about three young talented players to get everyday playing time. In this very game they are playing a shortstop at first base because they have an embarrassment of riches up the middle. The Astros are playing about four or five players that wouldn't get picked up on waivers if they were released today. What is it that you can't see?
