3-3 before Mazara was called up.
31-19 while he was up
31-17 in games he has played.

Since Mazara was brought up, the only 2 games he did NOT play, the Rangers lost.
Fielder has had 2 games off and the Rangers are 1-1 in those games.

I saw the video of him. Also saw Banny's.

Banny said he didn't want Fielder comfortable with it.

Fielder was very composed. He seemed somewhere between snippy like he was owed the right to fight through and relieved like that pitcher throwing BP getting pulled. Fielder implied he has been a good teammate and done whatever the team has needed of him.

I think he also knows the team is winning and making a push to keep himself in game makes him look like a jackass if they lose.

I think it is 100% he'll come out of it, and when he does,you hope it is just enough to make up for the other person who slumps.

All the Rangers commercials with his son leads me to believe he has really settled into the community. Are his sons living in DFW all year or do they live elsewhere? Seems like I've heard they frequent the ballpark. I'd also have to believe he sees the fact of Gallo.

The one (unfortunately) good thing is that we can just put Prince in at 1B for Moreland, and kind of cross our fingers for him to figure it out. Not like you have much to lose getting Mitch out of the lineup. I know Moreland is a better defender, but Prince could play 1B in spells, especially if he somehow emerges from his ridiculous slump.

I wonder if Yu (and Colby) misses crap like this from the Japanese league.

That's wild considering Colby owns Houston so badly. Think he's 9-0 in his last 12 starts with an ERA around 2.5

Don't understand how the Astros can be favored. They're on the road and are 0 for their last 10 against the Rangers in Arlington

If the Astros get swept, they'll be 11 games out of first place in the division.

I think we're going to get the Astros' best shot.No idea if they've figured something out with Springer hitting leadoff, or if their success came from a sub-par opponent and they'll come back to earth. We handled a Seattle team that was coming in blazing hot as well, albeit against the Padres. This will be an interesting series to say the least....

This series will decide if Houston has any chance of being a division contender this year.

It's almost like they've missed the running gag regarding FanGraphs and how notoriously bad they've been about predicting the AL West the last half-decade.

In 2010 they said the Seattle Mariners were the 4th best positioned organization in all of baseball.

For those that missed it Nick Tepesch asked for and was granted his release. I think had that Thoracic Outlet labotomy in 2015. I think it is that rib removal Harrison had done for nerve issues.

IIRC, Griffin had a BP session last week (Saturday?) and supposed to have another one this week... I think he is penciled in for a rehab soon (Thurs?). Once healthy, will he end up in Round Rock? Probably 3 weeks away from a decision?
