I'm as underwhelmed with Chi Chi as anyone. I was hoping a better outing, but it appears the scouting report is out.

Wait on the FB. Unless it is the pitch you are looking for, take it. If a strike, don't fret, the next pitch will likely be a ball.

Almost every player he has thrown a 1st pitch strike to, has gotten either a ball or a hit.
Almost every player he has thrown a 1st pitch ball to, he has thrown a meat pitch.

I get it. He isn't ready. I've said that. I've also said he would be in AAA, if not for injuries.

Who gives a **** what he's done in the minors, because outside of a handful of starts last year when no one had seen him, he's been abysmal. The league has adjusted to him, and he's failed to adjust himself. Just because you've been good at one level doesn't mean it's going to translate to the next. If I was him, I would pick Colby's brain to learn how to pitch without having overpowering stuff.

This team is in a bad way right now. They can't get any breaks or do anything right.

I wonder if we could trade Chi Chi to the 'Stros and if he pitches 80 innings we pay them $100 million

I realize there is more of a book now , but it's amazing that Chi Chi actually had that little run of nice starts last year.

This has been an incredibly frustrating game.

Another rant (maybe nothing new): can Bannister tell the boys to stand in the box when they THINK they've gotten a ball 4? When they start that quick trot to 1st, the umps LOVE to call it a strike.

Banny has not looked happy at all.

Watching a guy throw 85 pitches to record 10 outs will do it.

Is the CF camera slightly more to LF side than it used to be?

This current pitching situation will have a very short run in the playoffs.
